It was as if by then she had matured somewhat. Her characters were easier to believe in and she tackled a couple of really big issues which I thought she did sensatively. I think you will enjoy Forget Me Not, it is a lovely read.
I'm on the look out for A Vintage Affair. I'll keep you posted. BTW. Bought Angelology yesterday........will be in touch with you about it.Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15481459014830218246noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1855859002125690970.post-85883889283217389942010-03-15T03:08:18.208-07:002010-03-15T03:08:18.208-07:00I have only read A Vintage Affair but I really enj...I have only read A Vintage Affair but I really enjoyed it! I used to think the telling of stories was a way of us being able to discuss a subject from all angles rather than from a fixed perspective, almost like writing an overview or a taking a snapshot of a scene which captures the whole picture and not just a fixed view. However, the more I read, the more I realised that the narrators perspective is usually all we get and that can sometimes be a faulty viewing angle......Perhaps stories come from a desire to understand. Perhaps we analyse something until we understand it's nature. Maybe that's why they occur to us, maybe not. Good question, though.
Thanks for dropping by.Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15481459014830218246noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1855859002125690970.post-68586579829174879982010-03-14T09:25:07.214-07:002010-03-14T09:25:07.214-07:00OF COURSE when I find a writer I love I have to re...OF COURSE when I find a writer I love I have to read all of what he/she has written - everything.
I want to know all about them too. I wonder where their stories came from. I write stories and I still want to know where stories come from.
An inherent need. Still don't know.
Thanks for introducing me to Isabel Wolff.
Barb
www.barbwhitti.blogspot.com
PS love the music on your site...B.
